Twitter may be going to start Labeling Tweets to Tackle Misinformation
Twitter seems to be working on the labels - "Get the latest", "Stay Informed", "Misleading" to reduce the spreading of misinformation.
Twitter is working on new labels that can tackle the problem of misinformation on Twitter. It is not informed that when these labels are going to be implemented. These labels will be pinned alongside a tweet which is suspected.
It seems that the labels will include "Get the latest" , "Stay Informed" , "Misleading". The former is likely to offer more relevant information about the topic discussed in a tweet, allowing the user to be up to date on latest development.
Reverse Engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong tweeted a screenshot to tell this information. These warning are still under development and it is not informed that when it is going to be implemented.
It is also not informed that what is the next step of Twitter after giving this warning. Maybe Twitter will delete the tweet if the tweet is not changed or deleted by the user.
"Get the Latest" label will offer the most up to date, i.e. the information in the tweet is not latest.
"Stay Informed" will offer more details on the concept discussed in the tweet.
"Misleading" label inform the reader that information is fake or incorrct.
