 Elon Musk says Tesla has officially cancelled Tesla Model S Plaid+

Tesla CEO Elon Musk officially announced that Tesla has cancelled the plans to produce the Model S Plaid+.


The Model S Plaid+ is a supercharged version of the upcoming Plaid version of the electric vehicle. Musk said that the Plaid is so good enough that another isn't needed.

Musk tweeted that," Model S goes to Plaid speed this week ","Plaid+ cancelled. No need, as Plaid speed is just so good."

Tesla Model S Plaid can run from 0 to 60 miles/hr in 1.99 seconds, and it has a top speed of 200 miles per hour and has an estimated range of 390 miles, according to company's website. It can produce a horsepower of 1020. It's cost starts from $112,990.

In late May, Musk tweeted the event for electric sedan would be pushed until June 10 in order to finish the last one tweak.

The Plaid+ which is cancelled wasn't coming to market until mid-2022, Musk promises that this version would pushed the performance and range will be higher. The price might be start from $150,000. Tesla has now stopped taking pre-orders of this vehicle.
