Apple Watch might get 'Mind' app to focus on Mental Health

Apple Watch might get 'Mind' app to focus on Mental Health

One of Apple's most important event WWDC which is today(i.e. June 7) at 10am PDT(10:30pm IST). WWDC 2021 will begin with a keynote address. MacBook Pro are likely to receive an update at this year's event. While there have been quite a few rumors about iOS 15, little has been known about what to expect from watchOS 8. Several online reports have suggested that a new Mind app could come with watchOS 8.

A developer took to Twitter to point out a big hint about the Mind app. Khaos Tian, a developer, posted a screenshot of the App Store manifest, where "com.apple.Mind" is mentioned. This will be a new addition to watchOS as Apple doesn't have an app with this name. This app could focus on mental health of the users.

Apple currently doesn't have any app to focus on mental health of the user. There's a Breathe app which reminds users to focus on breathing but not a a specific app that is mental health related. Mental health is an area that so far has been rather untouched when it comes to smartwatches and fitness bands. Apple could take step in that direction tonight when it comes to unveils watchOS 8 at WWDC 2021.

WWDC event will start at 10am PDT (i.e. 10:30 IST) and will be an online affair. It is expected that Apple will unveil new OS updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac devices and Apple Watch. It is also expected that Apple could launch new MacBook Pro models.
