ANDROID AUTO AND APPLE CAR PLAY

Basically it is touch screen infotainment system for cars,a few years ago it was only in premium and luxury cars but nowadays it also in budget model cars such as Maruti alto and Datsun redi-go ,etc.

The android auto was developed by google basically to just mirror the mobile screen to car infotainment system, whereas apple carplay was developed by apple.

All the features in android and apple car play are almost same.

Pros:

*Same interference as that of smartphone

Android auto and apple carplay shows the same layout as that of the smartphone, including the icons, apps and everything so that it is easier to use.

*Versatile

In ordinary car touchscreen’s it only offers limited applications for music, maps and other. Whereas in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay offers various types of music and maps platforms such as Spotify, Ganna, Wynk music, etc.

*Voice Control

With the help of voice control you can control almost all the activities of your Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with just your voice command.

In Android Auto you just have to say “OK GOOGLE” while in Apple CarPlay you just have to say “HEY SIRI” to wake it up.

Cons:

*Works on stable internet connection

However Android Auto and Apple CarPlay has a very good experience but only when you have better internet connection, and when you travel in area of low network connection it might stop working properly.

Moreover the voice commands and online music streaming also depend upon the internet connection.

*Smartphone has to be plugged to a power charge

It is one of the major drawback of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay that it only works when your phone is plugged with it all the times, but nowadays in some cars such as Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Verna has a feature of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

*Limited App Support

There is no doubt that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay offers a bunch of applications support like google maps, youtube, audible, and many more . It also displays Whatsapp messages and can pick calls also but the drawback is it can’t read your emails because there is no support of Gmail yet.
