The AirTag software will start rolling out today. The company has shortening the time period you'll be notified of an unwanted AirTag. The company is also planning to release an Android App later this year


Apple AirTag is receiving an update that will change the time period after which it plays a sound when separated from its owner. Apple has also announced its plans to app for Android users to detect the hidden AirTag. It is expected that Android App would launch this year.

In this new update company is cutting the period to a "random time" between 8 and 24 hours, this means that the AirTag would play the sound anytime between the new period when it separated from its owner and alert nearby people.

The new software update changing the time period for the AirTag will start rolling out today. 

Apple also confirmed that the Android App will be released later this year. This will allow Android users to detect the hidden AirTag.
